Joint paper makes recommendations on clinical trials in light of pandemic

"Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Global Lung Cancer Clinical Trials: Why it matters to people with Lung Cancer" was accepted and published in the Journal of Thoracic Oncology Clinical and Research Reports. The article is a joint project of the Lung Cancer Research Foundation and several other organizations, and recommends actions that can be implemented long-term to increase access to clinical trials and remove barriers. |

In 2018, Rhonda was diagnosed with Stage IV non-small cell adenocarcinoma, with metastasis to her brain, spine, hip bone, and lymph nodes. Her biopsy confirmed she had the EGFR mutation, and she began taking osimertinib. "Medicine has significantly advanced, and people are living much longer and with fewer complications than ever," she said. |
