LCRF awards $300K for projects addressing lung cancer disparities

Congratulations to this year’s awardees of the 2021 LCRF Research Grant on Disparities in Lung Cancer, Loretta Erhunmwunsee, MD, City of Hope; and Mariam Jamal-Hanjani, MD, PhD, University College London Cancer Institute. These specific grants are sponsored, in part, by Bristol Myers Squibb and are the first of many that will be awarded in the coming months, following a rigorous RFP review process conducted by LCRF’s Scientific Advisory Board.

Lung Cancer Mutation Consortium begins umbrella trial
|
|
The Lung Cancer Mutation Consortium (LCMC) has started its fourth study, facilitated by the Lung Cancer Research Foundation. The study examines targeted drugs matched to specific genetic mutations. LCMC's screening trial, LCMC4 Evaluation of Actionable Drivers in EaRly Stage Lung Cancer (LEADER) is a collaborative effort involving numerous academic study sites and pharmaceutical supporters. |

LCRF celebrates science with two signature events in November
|
|
LCRF will bring top lung cancer researchers to its Scientific Symposium to be held virtually on Nov. 10 from 1-4 PM ET. The event will include an update on the state of lung cancer research, a round table discussion, and breakout sessions. Learn more and register here. Then, on Nov. 17 at 6 PM ET, an Evening of Innovation will celebrate the past year in lung cancer research as LCRF awards its highest honors for distinguished research and scientific merit.
